OK, I just had this nice little idea for a competition.

The competition is for the best GameEx video on YouTube.

Top 5 will get two GameEx licenses (ie one for a friend), and that will include the current discount on emumovies products. You can also enter just for fun.

The easy way to do videos is with screen capture software such as FRAPS.

Videos will be judged by me at the end of March.

Have fun!

Please feel free to let other sites and people know about the comeptition.

What would yo like to see in the video. Personally when I go to you tube and watch videos of an FE I end up seeing two seconds of an FE and 10 minutes of somebody playing street fighter.

Id suggest videos incorporating the diffrent aspects of gameex.. eg karakoke,Gamelist, Full Databases, video, pictures, music.

Perhaps with these top 5 videos you can create a "mash up" of sorts of the diffrent videos cut and transitional effects for the home page.

Whats your master plan?

Actually Brian, just what you said. Im more interested in seeing the features of GameEx than cabs and people etc. I was thinking its something fairly easy for people to do. There's no master plan as such, Id just like to see GameEx being all it can be.

hia all

my utube video GameEx Frontend Just a very small look at some of the 1000's of features found in the brill frontend.

utube is a bit low quality so if any like a 640x480 version let me no!

just uploaded a better quality video to utube so you can now watch in high quality

Hey Tom you should also release a video of your current setup to show features some of us haven't implemented yet along with newer themes. Your setup is probably the best configured so it would show us a model to work off of.

I think this is related, but.... I was just about to finally switch over to a V4 theme last night (yeah, I know, I'm slow). So I downloaded the Theme-Database pack and put the files on my cab. When I went to select a new theme, I only saw one v4 theme in there (Glossy). I thought there were a bunch of new ones (including the ones from the competition last fall), but I can't seem to locate them. In the end, I'm hoping to use Flash's upcoming theme, but in the mean time I was hoping I might be able to use something similar to RedEx. If one doesn't exist, I guess I could just modify RedEx to V4. Anyway, anyone know where those are linked?

lol :) Yeah you would think it would be the best setup but unfortunatly Im so busy working on it, that its not. I do have a few nice things though like BluRays playing under DVDs and a large DVD database, but other than that...

Theres not a whole bucnh of V4 themes yet, but all v1 themes can be converted with an ini change, and otherwise the theme editor does a good job of converting v2s

Every theme that has been publicly released is at www.gameex.com under dowloads > Themes

Yeah, I figured I might be able to fix one up. I was just wondering if there was a set already finished (so I can continue to be lazy :P )
