registration key

Hello, I purchased the registration key last year. I was given a file and ran it from my desktop and it unlocked the software. I have upgraded to a new faster PC. I transferred over all my game files, placed the reg key exe on the desktop but windows doesn't know how to run it. Both PCs were on XP so it isn't the version of windows.. any ideas?

file name is GAMEEXREG.GXKEY

Here's 3 different things you can try.

1. Can try renaming file to have the .reg extension and see if it's recognized.
   
2. Or you can try opening the file by right clicking and choosing open with and select Regedit.
   
3. Or you can manually enter the data into the registry.
