dvd previews not working

hey gang,

a quick question.

what is the setting to have dvd previews play?

i had this working once, but had to reformat the computer and lost all the settings.

previews work for videos fine, but they don't come up for dvds (from disc).

i can attach .ini if required?

Make sure youhave the latest ffdshow installed.

i do have the latest ffdshow installed. (i got it from the gameex page) and the latest version of gameex.

but i have disabled ffdshow for dvds.

if i enable it, then dvds dont play at all.

im using nvidia dvd decoder, which works to play dvds (and im pretty sure is the same decoder i used to use as well that allowed dvd previews).

The one on the gameex page isn't the lateset.

here is the latest.. Uninstall the old one first.

because it doesnt..

i uninstalled, restarted, installed, restarted, and nothing.

nb: if i enable 'uses ffdshow' then dvd playback stops completely.

heres what ive got currently, and working:

INSTALLED:

Nvidia decoder.

the latest klite codec pack. (originally got it because the sound levels on some dvd playback was quiet (and these forums told me that it could be an audio codec problem, and this was the best solution)

(note: i made sure ffdshow didnt install)

the ffdshow from http://www.gameex.net/Download/WrappersPlu...85/Default.aspx

(the others posted above didnt seem to work? i tried all of them)

and in advanced config i have:

-dvd decoder: NVIDIA

-vrm9 enabled: YES

-dvd uses FFDSHOW- NO.

and for whatever reason, im now getting dvd previews (in the selection menu) back again.

im pretty sure its just about getting a version of ffdshow that works with gameex.

id didn't want to start a new topic i had the same problem last week but got it sorted i now have an issue where i am wanting to have the dvd covers appear. i have done it before but it was selected by gameex i cant get that working at the moment either. so the question is can i somehow select the image i want for the dvd's when selecting like a snap with the emulators if not how can i get it back to the way before when gameex was auto selecting them for me. also is there any skins that are better for this??
