Okay, so I've finally got it all working how I want, but there's just this one problem that I can't seem to figure out. If I leave the computer on and just let it sit there, when I come back and try to navigate through GameEx, I can't?! It seems like it froze, but all the graphics are working still. I don't really know why it would be doing this, and even after rebooting, if it's still idling it will do that!

maybe it has something to do with your power settings. do you have all power options in windows disabled?

do you use a controller that is powered over usb? does the keyboard still take input?

I agree this is probably a power setting for something going into an idle mode. If you use XBox controllers, for instance, you will find it hard to get them to come out of idle. What do you use for controls (mouse, keyboard, gamepad, etc.)?

hey davgem,

did you fix the problem with the inputs?

i just found out i have the same problem! as long as the controllers are in use they work, but if nothing is pressed for 5 minutes the controllers wont respond anymore (usb->psx controllers). i can still exit gameex by keyboard an when i restart gameex the controller works fine again

I'm having the same issue, since I upgraded to the new version of Gamex. If I let my computers sit for more than a few min, the application will no longer accept input. This occurs from both the keyboard and my joystick. It is not a power isue, as the computer is not set to sleep. I can still hit the ESC key and the application will close.

Alright, I was able to get it to stop by turning off the screen saver setting in Gamex, it was set to 1 min, and that was about the same time input stopped working. I have the unregistered version, and MAME is not confiigured if that helps at all.

If the input stops for the keyboard, then this isn't a power setting issue IMO. I don't know what the problem is, but that's most likely NOT the problem.
