I still a couple of minor things to do and am also going to install an LCD that rotates. I built this from scratch using my own measurements.

Even comes with drink holders!

Heres a few shots of my now completed cocktail cab.

It is based on the Pacman cocktail plans that were completely modified to fit in the 21" monitor(thanks dad-without your skill and knowledge this would not have been possible)

hey everyone ive seen some awsome cabinets on here .

so i thought id post mine.

it's completely made bye me ,

spec's

256mb nvidea 6 pci express graphics card

512 ddr ram 400mhz

200gb hard drive

21' monitor

p4 3.0ghz

the cabinet has over 40.000 games from pacman to san andreas call of duty 2 etc.

the biggest problem was rewireing the 4 gamepads to work on both the joysticks

and the playstation 2 steering wheels.

but they work perfectly now

i have 2 built in speakers above the monitor with a wooden dial.

each steering wheel has 12 working buttons of there own.

i am in the middle of making a moterized sliding draw for my mini keyboard that

should be cool

i must say though the best thing about the machine is that it runs gameex it's a real life saver thanx tom

Here is my cabinet. This is a 1988 Sega AERO CITY cabinet. I also included a photo of the pinball plunger switch I use for Ms Classic Pinball. The control includes an Oscar Vortex spinner, Happ 3" lighted blue trackball (perfect for Golden Tee), a Pac-Man 4 way joystick, an 8 way joystick and an Act Labs gun (not shown).

Added on 01-14-07 Almost completed game room with MAME Cab, Slot Machine, real Vintage working 1957 Payphone, Cafe restaurant seating, Select-O-Matic juke box remote, air hockey, dart board/basketball combo.

Added on 02-18-07 I found this steering wheel at a thrift store for $1.00! It was a remote control for a rc NASCAR car. It looked promising. I made an adapter that slips over the Tempest spinner knob on my MAME cabinet. Now all I have to do is place the adapter over the knob and I have an instant Steering Wheel! It works great.

Bought a vintage Pachinko Machine.

Started building the wall mount. Just another small edition to the Game Room!

A little over kill on the specs but this arcade acts like a TV, jukebox, and emulator.

Okay, here's some pictures of my homemade cabinet. I did the design myself and got help from friends to build it. It's made from plywood (hope that's an international term and not just what it's called here in sunny Sweden). The top part of the cabinet (above the control panel) comes off if you need to move it.

The control panel is the X-Arcade dual that I've had modified at a work shop by a carpenter to fit my cabinet. It's covered by black aluminum to blend in with the rest of the design. I'm planning on adding some artwork and a better marquee later on. I have a plastic bezel that I got from a friend who's an arcade collector. Attached is also a closeup of the top right corner of my current marquee. I need to reposition some of the logos on it, then I'm gonna order a better print from mamemarquees.com.

I have my Acer laptop inside. Thinking of buying a dedicated computer later on. The theme I have in it is my own and will soon be made available here when I get more time to spend in front of the computer.

Introducing...Arcadia, yea I know bad name. Anyway this is my first attempt at a arcade cabinet. Almost everything is handbuilt. The controls are a modified X-arcade. Thought it would be a simple mod ended up taking me well over 10 hours to complete. The controls not the arcade. The total build time for the arcade was about 2 months but I had it up and running in about 1 week, it just wasnt pretty yet. All the vinyl is done by myself and my trusty partner(Brother ). We went for a Robotron design without replicating it exactly. Robotron is by far the most played game on it and of course my childhood favorite! Also now my 10yr old daughters favorite! Taught her to play a little over 3 months ago and darn her she's got my high score beat by 10.000pts! 330,000 and climbing. Anyway the cabinet was alot of fun to build and works flawlessly with GAMEEX! Thanks Tom for such a great product and the best support I have ever encountered!

Well y'all, this is our first try at a home built cabinet - though I know there are flaws, we love it!

The RTS M.A.M.E Arcade got its name from my daughter Ruby, wife Sonya, and myself (Tim). The dragon and unicorn on our marquee was designed by a 6th grade student of mine...we copied them on to paper and back painted them on to plexiglass.

We liked Talking Bull's theme best - for now we are using it, but hope to create our own using alternating dragon and unicorn pictures on each page.

We have added a plexiglass covering today, and need to redo the bezel and raise the TV up, but wanted to share a few pics!

Hey all,

Here are a few shots of the cab I helped build for a buddy of mine. He found the Case in the garbage! The best we can tell it was a display case for something but we cant figure out what. Maybe someone here will know. Any way it converted nicely to a very unique cab. My buddys name is Doug if you didnt figure that one out. Future plans call for some vinyl decal work to the X-arcade controller.

It's neeeeaaaarly finished, just a screen bezel to make and hide the computer ON switch (visible in some of the images!)... but I've waited long enough, so for now I'm playing games...

I'm getting my Galaxian back up to scratch. My MAME record is currently 143,000. My 1980's arcade best was about 255,000. So still some more work to do. (Watch out Gary Whelan...)

The cocktail cab is based roughly on a Ms. Pacman, but stands only 22.5 inches high and is a classy MDF black and chrome number with detachable control panels (connected via RJ45/CAT5 to the internal wiring). Currently sports my Defender panel in the horizontal position! Working on a Playstation / Console panel. May even try the analogue joysticks available at Ultimarc. Also planning a vertical spinner panel for Arkanoid, Tempest etc.

Computer is just built with second-hand parts (no case) and is a medium spec P4-2.4Ghz with a reasonable graphics card. Fast enough for MAME and GameEx. I've got a hidden cable underneath for attaching a USB hub for keyboard/mouse and internet connection as needed. I went for a Diamondtron 19" (flat) CRT instead of arcade monitor so as to cater better for Pinball and GameEx, which I'm running at 1280x1024 with good results. MAME with 75% scan-lines is real enough for me.

Thanks to everybody on the forum who's helped me and inspired me over the past few months and a special thanks to Tom for the FE that raises the standard of all of our projects that little bit higher.
