Hello,

I can't seem to get Multimedia Music and movie mp4 videos to play in GameEx on my Cab. All I get is a black screen with no sound, and when I escape it crashes GameEx to the desktop. I am using WinXP and I have installed the FFDshow codexes in the download section. My monitor is a betson Multisync with an ArcadeVGA2 video card. I have also tried all the settings in the config utility with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, it works fine outside of GameEx.

Yes, other video types work fine (AVI, etc). Just the mp4 extension does not seem to work for me.

I may have a solution to this due to a problem i had earlier today. I was having a problem of a few videos not showing. I went into the ffdshow config settings and looked for the format that was disabled. By default it won't decode some file types in GameEx.

I tried that, but it did not work. I downloaded a different codec for mp4 files, and everything worked fine with mp4's, but then my video snaps did not work in GameEx. So, I then reinstalled FFDshow and now for whatever reason all videos play fine in GameEx.
