Where do I configure...

I bought a logitec wireless gamepad to play the MAME games with. I know the computer sees the gamepad OK, because I can navigate the game menu with MAME and select the game I want to play.

However, I can't figure out how to enter coins with the gamepad. Can someone tell me where I configure the buttons at?

Pressing TAB in MAME will bring it up so you can change how you want.

OK, thanks, I LITERALLY just got home from our local electronic store with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I'll try that.

Last question, is there a way to kill the: "CONTROLS" screen that comes up for like 5 seconds at the launch of each ROM?

Also, make sure you have joystick input turned on for MAME.
