I'm not sure if you are saying my issue was a false positive. If so, let me say again that this isn't a false positive issue. This is something else. More like a bug with Kaspersky.

It's not detecting any false positive. I'm not sure what the issue is. I have Kaspersky on my PC and gameex install works just fine. Kaspersky is way more advanced than Avast!, however, I recommend Avast! to people who don't want to pay for AV too. I'll report the issue to Kaspersky and see what they say. They are quick to fix issues.

Well, if anyone cares, I figured it out. For some reason my anti-virus was screwing me. I'm running Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and when I disabled it and ran it again it worked fine. No clue why this install would be any different than the others, or why Kaspersky was somehow blocking that temp directory, but all is well again. Figured I'd post the solution in case anyone runs into this issue in the future. Thanks for any help offered.

I downloaded the file again. Same problem. And this time I checked. The file it's looking for is there. I'm logged in as an Admin.... what is going on?

Where is that located? --- Also, you are aware this is for an INSTALL, not a problem with the program running (which I think is what the log file is for.)

So, I was upgrading 9.70 to the latest 9.76 tonight on my media center (vista 64-bit) and when I run the installer, the language box pops up, I hit OK, then it comes up with the following error... Um... what? Help! Thanks in advance.

OK, thanks, I LITERALLY just got home from our local electronic store with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I'll try that. Last question, is there a way to kill the: "CONTROLS" screen that comes up for like 5 seconds at the launch of each ROM?

I bought a logitec wireless gamepad to play the MAME games with. I know the computer sees the gamepad OK, because I can navigate the game menu with MAME and select the game I want to play. However, I can't figure out how to enter coins with the gamepad. Can someone tell me where I configure the buttons at?

When I go into the MAME menu, I don't see an option to only show me the games I have installed. Is it possible to only show the games available in the MAME ROM directory?

OK, now I have another question... Why are two of every game showing up for my SNES games?

Where do I do that at? I don't even know how it was turned on? *edit* Found it, never mind, I'm an idiot. Next time I'll pay attention to the giant LOCK icon. Thanks for the fast reply guys. I'll probably just buy this soon anyway, it looks like a great solution for my MCE I'm building.

OK, I can't figure out what is going on.
