Hello all, I am building my own arcade cab and plan on using GameEx as the front end. Well I downloaded it and installed on my laptop thats running Vista to get the feel for it then I installed it on my my arcade machine that is running Windows 2000 sp4. I followed all of the steps and downloaded and installed all of the needed software for Windows 2000 as per the GameEx site and no matter what I try I get this error. I thought GameEx was supposed to work in Win2k!!

Here is the error.

Also in case your wondering why I'm not using XP or later, I'm using win2k so I can use my old gameport joystick and steering wheel via midi/game port as the drivers available for my steering wheel are not supported by any other OS later than win2k.

I also tried replacing the data.mdb with a known good one from my laptop only to be disappointed!!

Try this

Q: I get "Error: The SELECT statement includes a reserved word or an argument name that is misspelled or missing, or the punctuation is incorrect."

A: Select Start->Run then paste in "regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\msjtes40.dll".

you don't have to modify. tom is suggesting you try this:

Select Start->Run then paste in "regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\msjtes40.dll"

Sorry but I'm not sure what this suggestion will do, what will pasting that command in the run do?

Thank you, :)

Shawn

Its a known possible fix for what you are experiencing.

PS. After pasting, you run it.
