hiaz anyone no how come mame games will not ask me for my name for the high score

or save any high scores

any help on how to sort this out there! ?

MAME doesn't do anything that the original game didn't do. If the game originally asked for a name/initials, then you can enter those as you normally do. If you don't have the hi-score patch applied, the game will lose your score if you don't have it backing up the game state on exit. If you do have the hi-score patch applied, then it *should* write your scores to the hiscore directory (or whatever you've set it to in the mame.ini file). Hope that helps!

anyone got a compiled version of mame 126 with all the fix`s done

I don't know if that's something that can be distributed here. The MAMEdevs made it pretty clear that passing along patches was a no-no, so I don't think they would like us to pass the patched exe either. Compiling is REALLY easy thanks to the tool that HK put together. If you give it a try, I can pretty much guarantee success! If you do run into a problem, just post in that thread and someone will help get you up an running in no time.

I can't help you with this error but you can try out this tutorial to compile mame plus which has high score support. actually mame plus comes with high score support natively so you wouldn't need to compile anything in the first place. But eg to remove nag screens like emulation is incomplete warnings it makes sense to compile mame for yourself!
