Ninja Rygar Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 What's up with the Playstation 1 Database? I can't get anything out of it, is it just not done? Quote
bkenobi Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I don't think the PS1 database has been released. I could be wrong though. There were a LOT of games and there's a lot of work for each. Quote
greatflash Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I don't think the PS1 database has been released. I could be wrong though. There were a LOT of games and there's a lot of work for each. The PS1 database is in the VERY early stages at the moment. There are a few games linked, but it is a VERY small portion of the games that are present in the DB.I am sure at some point the DB's will be updated more frequently, but for the time being, I am sorry to say - PS1 is on back burner (to the best of my knowledge) Quote
chamnic Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I am confused about the updating of the Game Database. The thread mention something about updating gameEx itself. Does that mean the only way to get the latest version of the game Database is to update GameEx itself ? How does one know he has the latest version ? Most of the timstamp on my files under c:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\EMULATORS (which is where the game DB is stored I am guessing) are November 12, 2009. Is that the latest version ?Thank in advance. Quote
bkenobi Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 You can manually download the latest version from the GameEx web site under the downloads section. I don't think anything has been updated on these in quite a while, so you probably have the latest version. Quote
celly Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Headkaze or Greatflash - I'd like to know how I can get a copy of the software so I can input game info for the ScummVM engine. I updated the database but didn't get to update any game info for the newer playable games. Thanks guys! Quote
Tom Speirs Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 You have my approval on this Celly but its not up to me. Quote
celly Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 You have my approval on this Celly but its not up to me.Thanks Tom! If anything, I can at least gather up what I can and give it to Greatflash or Headkaze and they can update it. Quote
headkaze Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 For something as simple as updating the Scumm database just open it up in Microsoft Access. Quote
celly Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 For something as simple as updating the Scumm database just open it up in Microsoft Access. That's what I've been using HK, just didn't know if the program screenies from the first post of this thread was something different. Idk. Anyway, I finished it this morning and the database for ScummVM is now 100% for the 1.1.1 release. All description and game info is complete. I posted the finished product in the Attachments User Submitted Configs, Map Files, Wrappers and Databases thread. Quote
Draco1962 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 ALL YOUR GAMES DATABASE ARE BELONG TO US!I know we have quite a few that are complete and more that are not - This thread is quite daunting to go through and see where things are at regarding each. Is it possible to provide a table that shows the database names and completion levels of each and (if still actively assigned) whom is responsbile for updating each so that we can direct any questions to that user? Tempest Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Check out the first post.I'm pretty sure that Lawrence isn't going to do anymore work on the DB's, so count him out. I guess that just leaves Flash... Quote

I wish there was.Any votes for the first section (system) to tackle... Sorry for all the Delays - I never intended to take so damn long away from it, but sometimes - needs must.... Quote

Sorry for all the Delays - I never intended to take so damn long away from it, but sometimes - needs must....Not sure if there is much interest in the Atari 8-bit systems, but it is somewhat wanting for updates according to the first page. Many of the titles released for the 5200 and 7800 also apply to them (The 5200 was actually the same chipset and code as was there for the 400/800 systems and rehashed yet again for the XL/XE systems. I once ran an Atari 8-bit BBS and, while I have forgotten much of what I learned, I am still pretty familiar with many of the more popular titles. I would be willing to give it a go taking over work on it if OK with you or Ben. Just let me know! Quote
Hunk_4TH Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Is this still being worked on? I tried downloading GDM from Headsoft but I get a prompt asking for a username/password while attempting to download it Quote

Hunk_4TH Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Did a search for his user name on here and couldn't find it. Is there any other place to download this program? Quote
Tom Speirs Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I think its GreatFlash and the reason its not available for download is because the project and the program are combined. Quote

Stilkdog Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Thought I would reply to this, is this still being worked on or anyway I can help with this? I think this is the database for game info if I'm correct right? Quote

Cabirus Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I had the same question. The page 1 information was last updated in 2009, is this still active? As the game info is one of my favourite aspects of GameEx I'd be very happy if this project was continued. Any chance of this? Maybe the move to SQlite serves as a good reason to update the databases... ;-) Quote
greatflash Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Ok, I have been a bit idle in the replying to this topic, sorry. The database is in a period of hiatus at the moment, and has been for a considerable period. This is not solely my fault, nor laziness on my behalf. He whole project needs an overhaul to be able to continue and a huge amount of time spent on it to update and expand the database. The original system of automatic entry is no longer possible without extra work to the editor, and without that, the entry of data is a far more involved process.I would be happy to see the project reinstated as I also felt this was one of the great aspects of the FE. so, if the possibility does arise, then I would endeavour to be of any assistance I can.(More so if the editor was mac compatible. Lol) Quote
