I'm probably opening a Pandora's box, but:

Is there any way to create a Music folder within a theme, and then use the theme.ini file to play the music inside of that file?

I just got the idea when I was looking at amos_82's Future Retro theme, where he included a startup movie using the 'StartupVideo' command, and wondered if there was a way to override a user's playlist with the 'MusicPlaylist' command or something similar.

Don't know FirebrandX, but it's a good idea/alternative to the ambient music thing. Feature request perhaps ?

You could just change the intro sound in your theme's folder, so that your song will boot when your theme loads... I wonder if there's a loop option?

I was thinking of something that would override whatever someone was playing in their media bar with the music files in a theme folder.

For example, if someone made a Street Fighter theme, you could add the stage music to a folder inside the theme, point the media bar to the music with the theme.ini file, and whenever you use the Street Fighter theme, Street Fighter music plays.

Of course I was thinking of doing this with the Killer Instinct theme I'm building.

Then again, it might be an annoying feature if every theme-maker starts thinking they are DJs... myself included :P

You can use the following:

This is a bit rude, but you can override the users jukebox settings:

JukeBoxMode=1
EnableJukeBox=True
LoadPlayListAtStartup=True
MusicPlayList=C:\Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\Default - Your theme\Theme music folder name

Or use ambient music to play one file (cannot be switched off from within the gui)

EnableAmbiance=True
AmbianceFile=C:\Program Files\GameE\THEMES\Default - Your theme\Theme music folder name\Music.mp3

Or you could replace in the 'introsound.wav' in the theme folder (probably the best way to do it) its not very intrusive on people's settings, and will work regardless of where people install GameEx.
