Newbie problems

Hi,

I am a new user of GameEx but seem too be having problems running it, I have installed the frontend , and when i click on the config i get the following messages:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

Process id=0xc94 (3220), Thread id=0xcc4 (3268)

after i press cancel i get the following message:

Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resulted in an error code of 0x2 (2) Please check computer settings

cordbg.exe !a 0xc94

after i press cancel again i then get the white GameEx nag screen and then the start scrren, when i go into mame and click on update list it updates then i get a black screen and i cannot seem to exit unless i reboot the pc.

AMD Athlon XP 2200+

256 mb Ram

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro series graphics card

OS=XP SP1

can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong
