I'm guessing you compiled Mame to add hiscore support? All Mame Compiler does is compile Mame. Once it's compiled your done with it. Just copy the compiled exe into a folder where you want to run Mame from (Eg. C:\Emulators\Mame\mame.exe) and then setup GameEx to run it from there.

If you want avisnaps, artwork etc. then create the folder structure like so

+Emulators\Mame
+--artwork
+--cabinets
+--data
+--flyers
+--icons
+--manuals
+--marquees
+--movies
+--pcb
+--preview
+--select
+--snap
+--titles

Copy your media files into those folders then setup GameEx to point to those folders in Basic Mame Settings. Also make sure the exe points to your newly compiled exe.

I have both MameUI and regular command line Mame in the same folder. They don't interfere with each other at all. In fact the newer versions share the same ini file (mame.ini) so you can use MameUI's GUI to tweak your setup and the command line one for GameEx.

I just tried it and it works great,I have two versions 105 &123

So now I can save myself 32gigs by getting rid of 105

Plus no nag screen

Would this work with visual pinball?

Ive got over 870 tables and it going to be a bitch to

click ok whan it ask if i can play this rom

Import the config that comes with Gameex for Visual Pinball. I just checked, and unless I missed something it should work as is. You will have to make sure the paths are correct, and that the command line has the correct name for your visual pinball.exe

You will not have to click ok with this method.

There may be issues with snaps in Visual Pinball.

Kingb33 was going to do videos...he talks about it here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=5428

I don't know that it's a problem for snaps, but he implies that there is...

Edit: If you are going to pursue this, start a new topic, we are kinda trashing the Mame Compiler thread...
