I'm a regestered user and I have been trying to get this cd ripper to show up where it is supposed to. I have repeatedly tried downloading a newer version to get cd ripper to show up but with no luck. Everything works great in the jukebox but no cd ripper in the playlist area. When I try reinstalling after downloading and going through the setup I keep getting this error MSVCR70.dll. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got time, so I'm taking stabs at everything that moves...

I don't use the CD Ripper, but you may have to download CD Ripper application from the Gameex website, and install it. It may not be included in the Gameex download. I know that the manual viewer works in this way. Or maybe you did that, and have a problem anyway?

Edit: I'm sorry, I just checked, and it doesn't look like you can rip CD's from within Gameex. (or maybe you can) If you are just trying to run the CD ripper seperately, ignore this whole post. You fooled me by posting in the Gameex forum.

Thanks for your help... I just got through reinstalling cdripper and upgrading windows media. I have the cd ripper open right separately and works great. I tried to use in in Gameex and it's locking up.

Tempest,

Appricate all your help and am giving that file a try right now.

Still locking up in Gameex but at least I can rip all my audio cd's with the program. Thanks again!

What CD Ripper are you talking about? You dont need to have the Spesoft Free CD Ripper to rip cd's in GameEx. Its a completely unrelated application. Also as far as I know it has no dependencies on that DLL.

Can you provide some more details?

Go to Google and search for MSVCR70.dll download. then you'll receive dozens of hits. Choose a site then download the DLL file, and paste your system 32 folder and your problem should be solved.

I recommend searching Microsoft Knowledgebase first before going to ANY other site "googled" or otherwise as they are often rife with trojans and virii. I found one that relates to this error:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892613

While this is specific to MS Works 7.0, it is likely the cause is the same. Per the knowledgebase article:

"CAUSE: This issue may occur after you install software that is provided by your Internet service provider (ISP) that installs an incompatible version of the Msvcr70.dll file."

"WORKAROUND: To work around this issue, remove the ISP-provided program from your computer. For help removing the ISP-provided program from your computer, contact your ISP."

If you have installed anything from your ISP or from other sources any browser "accelerators" or the like, you may want to perform a roll-back.
