I'm using Gameex for quiet a while now and I've always used the PSXfin emulator but i get odd resolution problems with the Final Fantasy games in this emulator (black bars, picture not centered). So i tried ePSXe and that worked fine. However it doesn't work correctly in Gameex, I only get a black screen. If I turn the "show background" option on i can see that the emulator is started but no rom is loaded. After searching the forums here I found a batch file which did work. But I can't see it if I don't turn "show background" on.

I've used the following batch file:

start/wait d:\emulators\epsxe160\ePSXe.exe -nogui -loadbin %1

Exit

I've tried the PSXeven emulator but this gives the same problems as ePSXe does. I've used the following command line:

ePSXe.exe "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"

PSXeven.exe "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"

ePSXe.bat "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"

I use the Opengl2 video plugin in both but I've tried others but I get the same result.

All settings are correctly (the same as in the PSX emulator except the working pad and the command line) but I don't understand why it doesn't work in ePSXe and PSXeven but does work in PSXfin.

Hopefully someone knows the answer because I want to play Final Fantasy again without using my old Playstation.

Well........ Id recommend using PSX emulator. As it doesnt require plugins and specific game hacks... Especially if you have a rather large assortment of games.

You can get the Emu here.

http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/

Command= psxfin.exe -f "[rompath]/[romfile]"

This emu plays the FF series fine on my pc. Perhaps you can adjust the keep aspect ratio option

I've tried to change the aspect ratio but it stays the same, I've also noticed that it isn't always going smooth, like in Breat of Fire 3 it stutters a bit in the intro. Same happens in Final Fantasy 7 with the music and the animations.
