G'Day,

I have recently downloaded GameEx for the first time. I set it up with no issues and it launches my mame32plus stuff perfectly. After a reboot, upon launching GameEx it crashes and I get the following log entries. I have the same problem on three different PCs. They all run genuine XP. I have run diagnostic software on the ram and HD with no errors detected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this same problem on 3 PCs.

2 x Intel P4 on Intel mainbords, 500Mb Ram, XP Home 2002. AVG Free, Sybot S&D.

1 x Lenovo Intel core 2 T5600 @ 1.8GHz Notebook, 1G ram, XP Pro SP2. AVG Free, Sybot S&D.

These PCs are networked and I have copied my mame32plus installations across to each.

A virus is definately possible, but I have no other symptoms.

Full log attached.

Oh, and if I "delete all game data", I am able to launch GameEx. I can then Update the game list and all is fine.....until I reboot and then the error appears again.

Thanks,

Moose.

3 PC's with the same problem and I have never seen this error before. Looks like it could be a virus I'm afraid. Run a virus scanner and SpyBot S&D.

BTW What codecs are you using for video playback?

Do you have the tea timer on with SBSD?

That's a good thought. I had some problems when I used SpyBot and one of it's add-ons (perhaps it was called Tea Timer). Try running without either anti-virus package and see if that helps.

I do have tea timer running.

I will remove it first and see if that fixes it. Maybe tea timer is messing around with something. Then I might try removing any other common programs.

Thanks guys. I will let you know.

Moose.
