something wrong with my pc

hey everyone something weird is happening.

i boot up my pc, type in my password, and it says welcome, but the windows taskbar, sidebar, nor my desktop ever appear. i'm greeted with an open window of "my documents". i tried a system restore, but that didn't do the trick. i'm stumped as to what this is, or how it happened.

not sure I wasn't messing with the sheller or anything. any ideas how to recover?

Try the system restore feature. Restore to a day when it was working.

Goto taskmanager and kill EXPLORER.exe then click re open taskmanager on file/run explorer.exe

i killed explorer.exe but don't know where it it is to relaunch it
