I am running Windows XP SP2, Athlon 2000, 1G Ram, ArcadeVGA Card, Mame, GameEx Front End, DirectX 9.0, 2.0 .net Framework..and when loading gameEx I have changed themes to see if this would work, I've tried different installs of DirectX with no help... Side note, I have a NVidia PCI card in my machine that loads up GameEx with easy, but once I run my ArcadeVGA card, the GameEX spits out this error:

Im not exactly sure what to tell you. Gameex is showing that you have 0 mb of video memory left with the arcadeevga.

The only suggestion I can give is uninstall all the video drivers, reboot so windows installs the standard vga driver. Then run this tool

http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=224647

Then try reinstalling the correct drivers.

I suggest this because it sounds like you had an nvidia card in there first and then when you put the ati based part in its not working right. sometimes nvidia/ati drivers dont get along even when uninstalled.

This error has popped up quite a few times with ArcadeVGA cards now. It has to be some kind of driver issue.

Can you post your gameex.ini please?

Thanks.

Tom

Also, one thing I would try is to set GameEx not to change resolution.

Please come back to us.

Clearing out the drivers didn't work man...now my computer keeps on rebooting. It seems as though it likes the NVidia in there and not the ArcadeVGA. Once I put the Nvidia back in there...my computer boots up fine. Its weird, when I run GameEx on the PCI NVidia card, my GameEx works fine on the computer monitor. But once I hook the ArcadeVGA up, thats when I encounter my problems.
