I did not know this. I just went through all of the logos I could find, and have created a file consisting of 667 logos in 85 folders. It comes up to 99MB. I PM'd Headkaze since he was the only one who responded to my original post about doing this, and have had no response. It would be easy for me to remove NoLogic's stuff, because I left them in their original folder.

I'm just hoping that I haven't wasted my time, because belive it or not it took awhile to sort everthing out, remove duplicates, and organize everthing into folders. I cant' upload them because we are limited to 2MB.

Will one of the mods please tell me what to do?

Nologic has specifically asked that none of his works be distributed in or by GameEx... so if you want to respect his wishes I'd take them out. Not sure what recourse he'd have but he did specifically ask. Even though his posts don't have them anymore they are still in a post (below) from Headkaze and Tom in the 'User Submitted Themes' section which they'll probably have to remove.

The basic story is this. I found it difficult to go through all of the individual themes, and logo packs while trying to find a logo that I wanted. So I have assembled them in one file with 630 logos in 84 folders. I have removed Nologic's stuff, and it still is 92.5MB in size. I spent alot of time on this, visually checking to make sure that there were no duplicate's, and sorting them into folders. I do not take any credit for the logos themselves. I have only organized what I downloaded from the Gameex site. According to the Upload button below where I am typing, I can only upload a maximum of 2MB.

So, the question is can I upload them, or if you wish I could E-mail them to you and you can upload them. I made this offer to HK, but recieved no response. I don't care what happened between you guys and Nologic, frankly I don't think it is any of my business, but we do have to go forward from here. I know I'm not the brightest person here, but I have tried to do my best to contribute where I could, and It is my wish that we all continue to communicate in a positive way, and deal with this in the best way that we can to benefit the community. It might have been best to post Nologics wishes, so that we all know where we stand.

I'm hoping that in time, all of this will blow over, and in that Nologic will be welcome here again. (To that end, I volunteer myself to do whatever I can to help). I think he was a great benefit, and his sense of humor was always appreciated. I know (and he did too) that his temper was a problem, and apparently he let it get the best of him. I don't know if he is allowed to view posts or not, but if he can, I hope he reads this and will at least try to reconcile with Tom, and HK.

I'm sorry if I went on a rant, but this is how I feel, and I do not wish to pretend that he never existed, and that this never happened. My signature is a tribute, but do not assume that I am taking sides. If it offends anybody to the point where it is a problem, I will remove it.

Exactly. Well, they WERE posted here and then summarily deleted. Funny I always thought a forum was for discussion.

Everyone knows Nologic swears, can be temperamental and indelicate, his actions were par for the course. The real rocket-science move was one mod banning him after he bruised his ego.

To my mind you'd have to say some pretty heinous things to justify getting banned after the myriad of the contributions he's made to this community and I can't imagine him saying those things unprovoked.

It's spilt milk now because even if he was allowed back I doubt he'd rejoin us after receiving a huge bitch slap for his efforts. I'd be 'extemely abusive' and 'uncivil' too.

In the end you didn't punish him though, you punished this community and your product over something that would've worked itself out. Tom, maybe you should just tell us all what we should or shouldn't say to Headkaze to avoid being banned.

I'm new here, but I think this is a bit unfair. We don't know what was said or done between Headkaze and Nologic, and frankly, I don't want to know. However, because we do not know the situation, we cannot summarily come to the defense of either party. To blame Headkaze (or Nologic) is only to engender strife without a basis for that strife.

The whole situation sucks, but posting harsh words against anyone without knowing the specifics (and if you know the specifics, a PM to the party concerned works better than a public post) is like bashing a person solely because they are a Republican or a Democrat.

You just don't understand the whole story. That's all. You're turning this into something personal and it doesn't have to be. I love all you guys, Nologic included. There's been a falling out over something, and you're throwing stones at Ben and Tom for doing what had to be done to preserve order in this forum. You can resent everyone for what has happened, but I feel it's time to forgive and forget. If you want to lay the blame on the two coders who make GameEx a working app, that's up to you. Please don't point fingers at people until you can see and understand both sides.

Let's not forget why we're all here, and that's our love of GameEx. No one of us treats Ben or Tom like they're gods, but we have a job to do here: Preserve order. This forum rises above this kind of drama time and time again. The honest truth is this: Nologic hurt the community when he pulled his scripts and artwork, it was all his decision. It didn't have to end like that, it just did. We all decided it's his last wish to pull his stuff, and we are honoring that wish as a way of respecting him for what he gave us. There was no legal obligation to do so, but we did it anyway. I respect Nologic a lot, but he has to abide by the rules just like Brian, HK and I do. He crossed the line, made some personal remarks, and he was banned indefinately. When he was asked to plead his case and got even more pissed about the whole situation, it just got totally out of control. We gave Nologic every last chance we could... I tried harder than I usually would to make it work on the sole basis that we're friends. He wanted to leave, and that's just all there is to it. He decided that before the attempt to reconcile was offered... He had his head set and there was nothing anyone could do to change that.

I, for one, respect the decision that was made because I know the whole story. Once Nologic has had some time to cool off, he'll understand too. Everyone else needs to accept the fact that it happened and move on. For that reason, and because I hate to see the morale around here sink like the titanic... I'm locking this thread.
