Emumovies Help

I recently downloaded all the emumovies from the emumovies ftp but when i try to set them up in gamex the videos minimze gamex and do not play....The videos play by themselves just not in gameex...it causes gamex to go into a loop everytime it tries to start a game video on the list

This has been covered many times and should have popped up with a quick search...BUT, this sounds like you are using the official Divx codec that has a system tray icon. The resolution that a lot of people went with was to install CCCP which is a huge codec pack that includes Divx among others. I believe the following thread should help:

I didn't realize the official DIVX codec had problems... I use it, but on Vista. My movies show just fine... but wait. Now that I think about it, I used DIVX to make my own movies. Nevermind me.

It's not the codec that's the problem so much as the tray icon that it uses. As I recall, whenever you initialize the codec, it steals focus from GameEx. The CCCP installation (among others) does not have this system tray component, so it doesn't steal focus.

This is from memory, so I would suggest reviewing that thread for better info.
