640x480 Arcade Monitor Layout Nice Compensation

I am in desperate need of a 640x480 theme for my arcade monitor(wells d9200) and arcadevga card...I would like to have different backgrounds for the emulators and a nice start page with classic characters. No fighting characters please. Stuff like DK Frogger pacman and so on

Have you checked out night's themes page? There are a bunch of themes there that already do what you are asking about. Also, it is possible to take a MAMEwah theme and import it to GameEx using the Theme Editor. If you find something you like for MAMEwah, you should be able to use it for GameEx pretty easily.

I wouldn't wait for night's stuff. He's a bit of a perfectionist and has been working on some of those themes for over a year. If you see one you like, it's a pretty simple matter to convert it. Comes down to resizing the image, moving/relocating the content, and resizing fonts as appropriate. If you can't figure it out, I could take a look (assuming you have a theme that just needs resizing) but I can't guarantee my schedule...

Heck, perhaps he might even consider resizing them to include 640x480 since he already releases multiple resolutions. I know I'm hoping he releases that size myself as I run a TV in my cab too!

I forgot about those ones Amos. I think the only difference between those and what he requested was that he wanted characters (specifically non-fighting). I personally like those though...

I was actually looking at that last night. I have video previews for all my systems, but they aren't playing ATM. I'm currently writing it off as not having the right path setup, but I didn't get a chance to look. I'll take a look next time I fire the cab up and take a look into it. When I do that, I'm going to be trying Amos' theme at 640x480, so I should be able to see if I can get it working with a similar config.

i found a fix i reinstalled xvid codec
