Its as the error says. I've seen this problem a few times. Something gets messed up on the users PC and this happens. Its not to do with editing GameEx.ini. Please try and think what has changed on your system, this will really help others.

Now only one suggestion to fix this. Go into Contol Panel, go into Administration Tools. Select .net Framework Wizards and try to 'repair' the applications.

If that does not work, the only fix I know about is to reinstall the OS. NOTE: GameEx has not caused this, its something else on your system.

Did you try removing your gameex.ini for a clean (non-upgrade) install? Just rename the config dir to config.bak and reinstall gameex. I doubt it's in the config, though.

But be sure and keep the offending gameex.ini so we can find out what's going on if the problem really is somehow in the config.

All i did was:

1. close the program.

2. Edit the ini file.

3. load the program.

Computer is not connected to the internet and was a complete fresh install that day.

I think a full reload of OS is a bit drastic to get the software working when it had been working for over 5hrs all day.

Does not matter..... :(

I am sorry, but its still as I said. You could of course completely delete the gameex install by deleting the directory as djrobx said, but I think yourll find exactly the same thing. As I said this issue has come up several times, and its normally the same circumstances, completely new installs. I deliberatly put in that error message to identify it.

I still have no idea why this happens.
