Ok, I'm new to commandline emulators (aside from DosBox, which is very easy) and also new to GameEx. To be honest, the only reason I installed GameEx was an attempt to get VJ to work.

First off, I'm running vista (32-bit). When I double click the VJ.exe file, the mouse cursor blinks a few times and then that's it. It never loads. I saw in an old post at these forums to turn off UAC in Vista. I did that. Same problem. So I downloaded GameEx. When I try to run it in gameex, the screen goes black, glitches a few times, and then boots me back to gameex. (The game I'm trying to load is Alien VS Predator).

I found an old topic here at these forums that listed a config for use in GameEx for VJ 1.0.7. I tried that, it still doesn't work.

I downloaded Project Tempest v0.95, and it plays AvP, but the graphics are very glitchy, joypad support is all but non-existant for dual analogue stick gamepads, and when playing the predator, the two visions that are the clearest when invisible screw up the game resolution so that you can only see half the screen. Ugh.

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop, Intel Duo Core 2.0 ghz, 3 gb RAM, geforce 8600M GT (256 mb vram)

I want to be able to play this game desperately, and I'm pulling my hair out over here. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Just in case it might be helpful, I'll list here both the GameEx config AND the VJ config.

Project Tempest is likely your best bet...now its my understanding that v0.94 supported gamepads so you may want to go hunting for an older build of it. However I'd just setup Xpadder to work with it.

Really I'd like you to keep in mind that the jaguar never was emulated very well...so having it setup is mainly just for show...nothing more.

In the 101 reasons thread I have some loaders written up for use with PT...which I would suggest giving a try to help out...but things will still suck.
