Snap AVI videos

I am having problems getting Snap AVI "preview" videos to play in GameEX. A black box appears in the proper format (vertical or horizontal), but there is usually no video or sound. Once in a while I will get a random solid color appear, but no video. The videos are named the same as the roms, and GameEX is configured properly with the correct directory. I have searched the forum for suggestions, but the only one I could find was to disable alpha blending (which did not help). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Core2Duo, 2 GB ram, 8800GTX graphics card.

Do you have ffdshow installed (it's on the GameEX page) ?

I did not have that installed. After I installed it, everything works perfectly!
