No keys working in GameEx after graphics card change

I have changed my graphics card over to an ati radeon x700s card and now i dont have any controls in my fe

I have changed nothing else and cant work out why this has happened, i haven't made any changes in my config

All of the keys are working in all other programs and within each emulator when run outside GameEx, but when GE launches there is no controls at all, the screen isnt frozen because i get the scan over the selection bar as before.

I have tried another keyboard but that didnt help

Any suggestions?

i have also tried it with a geforce 8400gs card and still the same thing

This sounds like a driver problem to me. Perhaps you should check to make sure that your video card has all the drivers installed correctly and that DirectX doesn't have a problem with your card.

Another thing you can try is to copy your GameEx Directory to another location (rename "C:\Program Files\GameEx" to "C:\Program Files\GameEx1") and reinstall GameEx. See if that makes a difference. If so, there's something in your configuration that's breaking GameEx.

Must have something to do with the drivers for the video card, i downloaded ge again and did a full fresh install and even in the default theme it freezes.

I have reinstalled all my motherboard and video card drivers again but still staying on the first menu screen.

Might try reinstalling .net framework aswell and seee if this helps

Reinstalled old card, .net framework, GE, drivers for motherboard and video card and still no change

When the menu page loads there is no controls, but its not frozen because the scan garphics over the selection item is still moving as it did before, even in the default theme.

i have no idea what else to try form here

Did you try and turn off Alpha Blending? Just maybe... Not sure if that will have an effect though.

Newer video drivers don't play nice with GameEx. I have an ATI card with an old video driver installed. A newer Catalyst driver makes GameEx run like a pig.
