Problem Solved I am now using keyboard A and B setting and am having no problem with my controls even after remapping thankyou very much for your help Headkaze, it is very much appreciated

I had F1 mapped to none in my input settings in the ini i posted remapped f1 within loader to (a) hoping it might change but didnt change the controller using numpad 5 now reads XArcadeLeft=65,38,40,37,39,162,98,32,160,90,88,49,50,164

i am using Headkaze's loader to run winuae and must say that if it wasnt for this program i think alot of people would have given up on ever getting winuae running, myself included i am having a slight problem with configuring the controls i have got all my games for whd running from the loader, reconfigured the controls on the x-arcade left tab and ticked the enable box (set for port 1)but when i start a game the down arrow (i have mapped for down) wont work, instead it is using numpad 5. Not sure if i have changed a setting or something but was hoping someone could help. Is it possible to have my settings as the default options for the x-arcade tabs instead of mapping the inputs. Reinstalled old card, .net framework, GE, drivers for motherboard and video card and still no change When the menu page loads there is no controls, but its not frozen because the scan garphics over the selection item is still moving as it did before, even in the default theme. i have no idea what else to try form here

Must have something to do with the drivers for the video card, i downloaded ge again and did a full fresh install and even in the default theme it freezes. I have reinstalled all my motherboard and video card drivers again but still staying on the first menu screen. Might try reinstalling .net framework aswell and seee if this helps

i have also tried it with a geforce 8400gs card and still the same thing

I have changed my graphics card over to an ati radeon x700s card and now i dont have any controls in my fe I have changed nothing else and cant work out why this has happened, i haven't made any changes in my config All of the keys are working in all other programs and within each emulator when run outside GameEx, but when GE launches there is no controls at all, the screen isnt frozen because i get the scan over the selection bar as before. I have tried another keyboard but that didnt help Any suggestions?

Hi bkenobi Still working on the list at the moment trying to get all my emus running through gameex and then i'll move on to the games themsleves At the moment i have 2 driving cabinets i built with linked xbox 360's in them only problem is my mates wont ever go home they just call in for a quick visit and stay for 6 hrs playing against each other. And i also have a pair of final lap 3 cabs which i am going to use for the gameEx cabs As far as the steering wheel i am still debating whether to make them interchangable within the dashboard or whether to build one cabinet for 360 and one for 270 games I think there is a way to hack the wheels to have them switchable from 270 to 360 but i cant seem to find any info on it, if i do i will let u know Cda

Stu You were exactly right i simply changed the command line to EMULATOR.EXE [ROM] and the problem is solved Now i just have to rewrite my map file to show the game names and not the rom names and i can get back to cabinet construction and downloading the roms ( which of course i have the licences for ) Thankyou very much for all of your help with this Cda

my command line in gameex config for Model2 emu as a standalone is emulator.exe "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" dont know if this is where the problem starts if there are any ini's i can post here to help find the problem please let me know and i will post them thanks for your help so far Stu

I am setting up a dedicated driving cabinet and wanted to have the driving games for each emu accessable through a different menu form the fe

I am trying to set up model 2 as a standalone emu within GameEx and having no luck, i have read all the other posts on model 2 and cannot find where i am going wrong i have no problems using the emu without gameex but each time i try to load a game through the fe i get a cple of screen flashes and then it returns to GameEx. ( which show up in the fe as the roms names and not the game names in the list ???) Even when i run Model 2 through GameEx in debug mode with show desktop set to yes i get the following command window- C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA>C: C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA>CD "C:\emulators\Model2" ECHO is on. m2loader.exe -loadrom "C:\emulators\Model2\roms\topskatr.zip" ECHO is on. C:\emulators\Model2>PAUSE Press any key to continue . . . then once i push a key it opens up the model2 emulator for a second and then shuts down and returns to gameEx i have downloaded the m2loader and the latest roms and a new version of model2 0.5a emulator just to be sure and still no luck if anyone has any ideas where i might be going wrong or can point me to another thread that can help i would appreciate it

Hi again Nologic I have run clrmame pro and still no change, it did fix a few roms and rename some also but i still cant get any of the games to work in zinc Its more than likely that i have changed a setting or directory in there and that is the problem, but which one and where i have no idea I will try a few more things tonight and if need be i will just download zinc again and start over Thanks for all of your help so far

Hi Nologic Thanks for your reply As u can probably tell i have only been using Gameex and Zinc for about a week now and am still working out how it is structured i am using windows XP on my pc i followed these instructions as supplied in Loader_Standalone.txt but still having no luck in standalone it is using ZiNc_Loader.exe "[Rom]" i am not 100% sure that i am not using opengl renderer, can u plese tell me where to find out here is the first few lines of my settings.ini [ROM Path] DIR="C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\emulators\zinc\roms" [Aqua Rush (JP) Ver. Hi All I have been having alot of trouble getting my zinc games to run in gamex or even in zinc itself i followed the instructions to use it as a stand alone and with advanced mame with zinc_wrapper as shown in post - http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?sh...amp;#entry19991 but i am still having no luck, each time i try to open any of the zinc games in either the stand alone zinc emu or through mame, the screen goes black for around 10 seconds and then simply returns to the game page. I also tried placing cpzn1 and cpzn2 in each of the games zip folder but still nothing, i have checked all of my directory paths and ran clrmame and downloaded any missing roms it asked for in zinc. If anyone has any ideas as to what i might have missed in the setup please let me know Any help would be greatly appreciated cause i am have tried everything i can think of and am getting hassled by my 10 yr old son to get them working so i can get the cabinet up and runnig again Thanks in advance
