No idea what is happening but has been happening since after the .66 build

seems to load up then the screen goes black and then I go back to the desktop (if not already in MCE). Always gets to the same spot in the log too :

18:38:07.0 8/2/2005: MAME is an emulator: it reproduces, more or less faithfully, the behaviour of

18:38:07.0 8/2/2005: several arcade machines. But hardware is useless without software, so an image

18:38:07.0 8/2/2005: of the ROMs which run on that hardware is required. Such ROMs, like any other

18:38:07.0 8/2/2005: use them if you don't own the original arcade machine. Needless to say, ROMs

18:38:07.0 8/2/2005: are not distributed together with MAME. Distribution of MAME together with ROM

18:38:07.0 8/2/2005: images is a violation of copyright law and should be promptly reported to the

Actually my bad, I left in some debugging code that closed the application if no icons where found. Will be fixed next release. whoops!

Thanks! I just loaded .72 last night and found that I had the same problem. I was wondering what I was losing not having the path specified for the Icons...

I like the new Splash screen and RSS feeds (I was several releases behind)!

Tom, I have an X-arcade console connected to my cabinet. Have you added anything specific for using this now that you have one?

Thanks!

Yes I have, you can now exit games by pressing Player 2 and right flipper together.

The ICON issue is fixed in 4.73 (uploaded Today).
