New to Game-Ex and I love it< i'm starting to compile everything. I want to add the videos instead of the snap shots. I see on the website there are two locations to download the files. One here

MAME Videos

GameEx can play MAME game videos for each currently selected game while browsing through the lists. It's a big download, but the videos look great in GameEx.

You need a BitTorrent client to download these video files.

Download the torrent here or try this one.

and one here...

EmuMovies

EmuMovies is a project to replace all of those boring snapshots used in your front-end (MameWah, 3Darcade, GameEx etc.) with high quality avi previews. They plan to create these previews for every system playable on a home arcade cabinet.

http://www.emumovies.com/

the emumovies has more information on the website and seems most complete.

Which one is better or is there a better one? Once I download the files do I just put all of them in a specific folder and tell game-ex where they are or is itr more complicated.

Thanks

I would go with emumovies, because I don't think the torrent hosted here has been updated for about a year. Although, if the torrent consists of .mng/.mp3 files, it will look better (imho).

EmuMovies is run by Circo who is a member here. He is in the process of creating a HUGE set of MAME videos to replace his first complete set. I beleive he is a little more than halfway done. I personally prefer his stuff over MAME Videos.

You cant go wrong with emumovies! They are great work! I personally found a torrent somewhere that had videos with no sound and lower frame rate, but high resolution (not emumovies). That kept the quality up and size down which worked for me! Im sure not everyone will feel the same.

I do use emumovies for all the emulators :)

I would suggest using a bit torrent client that will let you download only the files you want. Then you can take 1 file from each torrent to see what looks better and go from there.
