I'm finally running my gameex off a tv with a radeon 1950 agp.

I have two questions?

1.) Is there any problem with just sticking a shortcut of gameex into the startup folder so that windows just automatically loads gameex?

2.) Upon exiting of gameex, I have it set to shut down windows. It's weird, sometimes I get a hideos.exe error followed in another error message that says tskill.exe or something of the nature produced an error.

Any ideas?

I had my cab configured like this for a while and never had a problem with shutting down windows through GameEx. The only problems I did have were related to trying to run another program before it shut down. Basically, that program wasn't fast enough so GameEx shut down windows prior to the program running. But either way I've never had any problems with tskill.exe.

Ummm... it's seems to be fixed. I disabled hide desktop and icons in the gameex menu, and since I switched to black background wallpaper and have no icons on the desktop, it works decentlyfine. Now to figure out how to get zsnes and a slew of others to play at 720x480.

Good to hear. Btw, I would DEFINITELY switch over GameEx for your shell rather than booting in the way you described above! It performs much better and eliminates several problems I was running into that you may or may not find.
