Hey all, its the weekend, and I thought I'd do another license giveaway, and boost my ego at the same time :)

In your own words, why do you think the GameEx forum is one of the best forums of its kind out there (Im not saying it is, its just a comp).

It seems noone takes any notice when I say non registered users only and one post per person, so bollocks to it!

I would ask though, if you do already have a license could you please say so? As well as a bit of entertainment this is meant to give folks who can't easily obtain a license a chance at getting one.

Don't need the license, but...

This is the only forum I have regularly posted on in the 10+ years I've been on the net. This is the only place I have found that you can get knowledgeable support/feedback at any time of the day within minutes! Talk about service :D

This is the best forum because Tom goes out of his way to give those less fortunate (or less paypal savy) a GameEx license! When's the last time you got free software from Microsoft or were able to directly ask Bill Gates a question? :)

No license needed here either...

This forum is simply the best, most helpful, courteous, and clean board I've been on. I know that if I have ANY trouble at all with GameEx OR an emulator issue that I will get the help I need usually within the hour... no matter what time it is!

Thanks guys for making this forum a wonderful experience!

And thanks Tom for making such a wonderful product that brought us all together!

Nologic, Tom, Brian, Head, Make this forum, you guys know your stuff when it comes to gameex, or off topic, Never once has a question went unanswered here, not only was it answered but between brian and Nol its answered within the hour.

Id like to thank nologic and brian hoffman for always responding to my posts and Pms with a solution that works. Thanks for taking the time guys, I have 4 active forums I attend on the internet daily and you two are the most stand out guys I have met.

A+ service A+ product.

Here it goes....

Gameex is the best forum on-line because the users here actually appreciate everyone hard work and input... Its a forum that draws a diverse crowd and everyone learns from each other... A site with 0 flaming and 0 trolling goes along way.. Okok maybe a little sarcastic at times but its all in good fun :)

This is actually the only board Im an active member of.. I check this board more often than I check my email..

Simply put the board is the best because of the members.

Driven by a man with a passion for creating the best front end out there..

OK, one from me.

I don't for a second take for granted how blessed I am to run a forum with such great members, contributors and the nicest folks I've ever met online. With so little crap involved, its a pleasure to wake up and read the plethera of posts submitted in the early hours.

I drop by other forums like the official MAME and see people mouthing off, bitching, and generally being class A assholes, and then I see decent people having to deal with them... Like I say I feel blessed, and to be honest, I've probably met and conversed with more like minded people than I have in my life through GameEx and this forum.

Thanks everyone, and long may it continue...

And yes, I have a license ;)

I need a license.

I've seen GameEx mentioned a few times at BYOAC forum but it has never received as much attention as MALA and MameWah so I just passed it by. I've played with MALA of and on for the past month but it's just not working for me for what I want. I need a MAME FE with the option of a Jukebox (preferably built in) and a slide show for pictures. Most programs don't allow for the lower resolutions that I require for a TV monitor. The option of having further emulation programs is really appealing, but for the time being, building a cabinet and figuring out software, woodworking, electrical, etc it gets overwhelming; the option of further emulators can wait until this is sorted out.

The minute I downloaded GameEx I realized this is what I want. I've got a big problem with my 1800+ music albums that require proper ID tags but it's worth it to fix them all to get this to work the way I want.

For the time being I like the Soul Calibur theme but eventually I'll make my own. Having the option of weather and a dvd player makes it more appealing. The LED-Wiz plug-in is a bonus because this is another option I'm looking into.

So is the contest to suck up on the software or the forum ?

Ok the forum; nice to see a forum for support on software where the owner constantly has a hands on approach to help with all of the issues with the product and constantly wants to improve it. I've only posted about 3 times and have had responses to questions within hours. I find I'm on the computer for hours reading every topic I can to get my arcade up and running the exact way I see it and this forum has the answers. Like a previous member stated, I check my email and then this site. Nice to see a cooperative atmosphere as well.

I don't pay for software very often but this one is worth it.

The core reason of this boards supremacy is due to the people in here! (ofcourse) smile.gif

We all really care about this board. This isnt one of those boards you go into once a year or so and spam something around. When people of this board se what people actually are contributing ,a sense of grace deepens in you that ive never felt on another board ever.

And eaven if someone "seldom" happens to cross the OT line, like when my com crashed, (and i dont know exactly who helped me) (it was last year) but some smart guy on this board helped out fixing it upp and running smile.gif

and TOm, still down to earth eaven though he has celebrity status, hedkaze and the other big contributors. bah smile.gif

you have respect for this board. and the personality and the IQ that surrounds it smile.gif ,the big guys in constantly contact

with the little guys like me. pretty n00b to emulation and computers and stuff and all that is command lines smile.gif

In the end i think helping others makes others keep on helping others and an good circle of helpfullnes and joys

is formem on this board making it exellent. It goes back to the big guys like tom who founded the board from the beginning who have spread love. and now we all keep on spreading love biggrin.gif (in a non gay way) (not saying gay is bad thougH) smile.gif

I only wish I wasn't so addicted to my PSP/M33 Firmware at the moment... I feel like I've been away from my extended family for a long time. That, ladies (if there are any around here) and (most likely) gentlemen, is why I am PROUD to be a moderator of the most awesome forum I have ever been a member of! Ever! It's a great honor to be part of what I feel is the most revolutionary piece of software I've ever paid for in my life!

The forum is okay, but it's really you guys who make it such a pleasure to visit. Give yourselves a round of applause! Sadly, I spend more time playing with GameEx and answering questions about it then I do actually playing games with it! Ha!

As for Heretic's ID3 tagging: Have you tried using Media Monkey? It's free and it was a god send to tag my 180 gigs of mp3's for Media Center and GameEx. The learning curve seems steep at first but it's easy once you get your hands dirty. :)

This program, "Media Monkey" is great for my ID3 tagging. Thanks for the suggestion.
