little help with dosbox please

I just found my favorite dos game of all time willy beamish.

I downloaded dosbox to play it.I have it installed to c:\dynamix

I have the cd-rom mounted to Device 0 e:\

I am running c:\dynamix\willy.bat

willy.bat contains the following

@echo off

E:

willy C:\wcd\resource.cfg

In dosbox I am doing the following command

mount c c:\dynamix

then willy.bat

The game ran Once, perfect, I shut it down to change the rez on my monitor so it filled more of the screen, now when I run willy.bat dosbox just freezes immediately, I rebooted, same thing.

Anyone with dos box experience have a guess why it would just stop working? This is my first time using this program.

I use d-fend FE for setting up dosbox games... It works great! Once you go throught the wizard for whatever game you want all you do is create a shortcut to the config and tell gameex to use *.lnks.. Works great for me.. If you are not sure how to setup gameex to use shortcuts just ask.

thanks brian, downloading d-fend now, problem is though dosbox is freezing on this game standalone, even without gameex but I will try this.

With the Fe you can specify what type of video mode,hi mem,amount of memory to allocate,soundcard to emulate,etc etc etc...

Also the game might have a CFG file that might need to be recreated..

I just downloaded willy beamish by sierra.. It works great.. Iam attaching my config for d-fend just import it and change the path to the game exe..

Once it works you can right click and send a shortcut to the desktop.
