hey everyone, i just bought a nintendo ds to take up some down time at the barber shop i work at. (when it's slow, it's SLOW). i was just wondering (since i know this forum is stocked with game geniuses) if there is anyway to download/play nes roms on it... even super nes (it has enough buttons). i think it would be extra cool to go from pheonix wright to mega man 2 while waiting for haircuts.

thanks in advance my fellow compadres.

You should have bought a PSP for that..

I have a psp and it can play gba,gb,gen, nes, snes,PSX, and more.. There is a strong homebrew community for it..

To awnser your question yes...But you will need to buy a special mem stick. They are usually expensive.. It is mainy used for ..DARE I SAY...Pirating NDS ROMS...

Take it back get a PSP. NOT THE NEW SLIM ONE. use a pandors battery to dowgrade the firmware and install a custom firmware.

for nds info and homebrew check DC emus homepage :)

There are tonnes of stuff you can run on your Nintendo DS. I even used to code for it :)

You can check out my Nintendo DS page here. That been said I have been out of that scene for a while, and you may have issues updating the firmware. I'm not even sure if the Movieplayer 2 will run on it anymore. There are so many carts out there with hardware passthru's that support micro SD's for storage you will need to do a bit of research. There are emulators for the NES I believe, I even have one on my GBA SP. Best game for DS that I played was called Clubhouse Games. Make sure you get it :)

Places to check out

- gbadev.org (Go to the forums to ask specific questions but don't talk about piracy, only talk about carts for running homebrew, and make sure you search for answers before asking a question)

- drunkencoders.com

I also own a PSP and my favourite game on that is Tekken Resurrection. Great game :)

I'd rather have the slim for the double RAM and double Flash... But you can't do much for homebrew right now. But hey, it just came out last week! Just give it some time and m33 will figure out the whole 1.5 kernel thing!
