Okay, so I was thinking about a way to get more free slots for pc games. Can one Gameex in one directory run another Gameex in another directory, or would they conflict somehow. Even more, if that was possible, I would make an emulator group in the first gameex called PC Games that would switch to the second Gameex and people could select PC Games?

Watcha think?

I dont think that this is a good idea..

Why not just create shortcuts for all the other pc games you want in a folder and set the working path to the folder the command to "[romfile]" the rom filter to *.lnk.

Voila

Because sometimes shortcut links break.

Surely a shortcut only breaks if the file it links to has been deleted?

Which would mean you would have to have uninstalled the game or something meaning the game wouldn't work anyway, so how is having all your pc games set to use an individual slot going to make the game work and better than the shortcut would've? GameEx just works like a shortcut, it just launches the exe but if the exe doesn't exist it can't do anything?

I don't use shortcuts myself I create a batch file for each pc in my cabinet so I can launch extra commands to changes controls an stuff before the game launches

Please lord, more slots for a emulated group that can be assigned either to the start menu or emulator menu. It's easier. And don't give me any Plato or Socrates philosophy about taking the hard path. Gameex is all about the ease to play the games you want to play under one cosmic editable roof. Like video backgrounds. Like scroll lists and editable 640x480 avi preview sizes. Like dvd player, still haven't figured out the ALT+ 1 thing, can you change it to like the letter G or something, Like command before and after launches. Like play music while I surf the internet in full screen, like radio stations. I am grateful for all of that. I just don't think adding 20 more slots would be that taxing on gameex. I will reserve my cd games for later, but I'll put the best ones on for now, which btw, UT2004, best game ever.

I also have a message I'm gonna also put on the video backgrounds area. I have found it best to only create a startbak.avi in each theme and leave all the the rest, like mamebak, bak.avi, and others to png formats. You can still have your avi previews for each game but it speeds things up a little bit and is a little more cool for some reason that way.
