Actually, I was originally hoping it might be possible to have multiple categories for each game. That way, the original categories could be paired down, but then games that applied to multiple could still be in both. For instance, I would like to see Offroad in say Driving and Circuit Racing (bad example, but hopefully that makes sense). Anyway, it's not possible.

Yeah that would be ideal, I take it this is something we'll need to pester Tom to support :)

I was just about to ask this question, but it seems like maybe this (in a way) tells me the answer...

I've been messing with the .MDBs and (best as I can tell) the only DataBase fields GameEx notices are the "GoodName" , "Developer" , "Date" , "Category" and "Description" columns

I was gonna ask if there was a way to edit the GameEx settings to select more, less, or different .mdb fields so that the end user can tweak their own settings... but I guess not.

But as long as we're talking about it. I would love to be able to list games in multiple categories... If Tom does find the time to add this sort of thing to gameEx, it would be sweet!

I'd suggest (time, and patience willing) adding the additional features of Sub Categories, and an advanced button option (available in the Advanced config setup, kinda like the update game list option which can be turned on or off) which allows you to ADD to or EDIT the DATABASE straight from the games list in GameEx!

That would make it so easy to see what games you don't have setup right, and change things right from your games list...

I'm sure that would be a pain in the arse to implement, but we can always day-dream right? ;)

Besides, it's not a real feature request yet so silly bablings like mine shouldn't bother anyone...

I hope :)

Sounds complicated for even the advanced setup wizard, but asking doesn't hurt. If you want the option, add it to the feature request thread and hopefully Tom will address it.
