Cant figure out why but on two of my systems the back button on the MCE remote does not go back in GameEX. For example if I click on a game in MAME then want to go back to the list I thought I used click on back on the MCE remote.......

Am I just crazy here or what? How can I get this working.

Iam using the latest build on both machines of GameEX

Have you turned on DirectInput or Slikstik? Otherwise am at a loss. Ive never had an issue or issue reported like this on any version of MCE with a 2004 and 2005 remote.. Only if DirectInput is turned on. GameEx checks for the 'Browser Back' key. Is you remote outputting the keystroke for say Internet Explorer?

The only thing it seems to do is act as if I am pressing the left arrow button. In IE and everything else it seems to act as normal. Is there a CFG file for the input for mapping individual keys?

Yes I tried it with and without those enabeld. I do not geta responce with them disabled and when I have one ofthem enabled the back button acts as if it is a left arrow command..? very odd. I did copy the gameex directory from one machine to another so that could be part of the problem with both machines not functioning... dont know yet I am still looking about

Just another quick quirk I noticed latley... on DVD playback none of the keys funtion as expected on my MCE remote.. Pause doesn't pause, play doesnt play stop doesnt stop etc etc.... is my config screwed up royally some how? (then again I havent checked DVD playback remote control after playing with the direct input and etc settings)

DVD playback in GameEx or DVD playback inside of MCE?

Did you happen to change the setting in GameEx.ini that tells MCE to shut down when GameEx starts? Have you tried running GameEx directly (not from the Media Center menu)?

DVD Playback in GameEX not MCE

I can try it all again when get home. Most of the time while I am testing I run GameEX outside of MCE, not loading MCE then gameEX

Will the button support be added at all? IE RW,FF, Play and etc buttons fully functional.

Just wanted confirmation, does 'back' work in gameex when you click the button, press space or press backspace?

Why would you rather have some strippers sent instead of Paypal? :D

Because I already have an Arcade Cabinet, and 70" MCE System. B)

No just kidding. I dont get many donations, could do with more, but most hobbies cost money. There are more extravagant ones though I am sure. :)

I tried with the keyboard and yes the backspace and space keys function as back in GameEX

Well hopefully my other donation should help you I know it works great in MCE. If you need anything else like that just let me know. :)

Thanks so much. I take that it was you R.P?

Well, Ill know who to call up when the next update/version of MCE comes out!

Cheers.

I still have little idea why your back button is not working. I dont think its a config issue, but if you post your GameEx.ini Ill try it on my system to be sure.

I will post tonight :)

Is the DVD keys functionality in the works? I ask as this is one of the main reasons the author of the My Movies plugin has been reluctant to support any other external DVD player other than TheaterTek 2 as TT2 has full native MCE remote support. I just cant help but feel your DVD player combine with My Movies will make the best MCE DVD combo and it's free!
