after the update:

my video snaps run really choppy now when playing music

also, where do i turn off the NOT PLAYED MAME that is new? i didnt see it with all the rest in the show/hide area of options

I experience too (choppy video snaps but play in full screen ok) but i think this was happening before 8.34 and 8.28 (don't mean to be singling out version numbers) but they were working fine a few days ago.

Hm. I did a fresh install. Left the theme at default and didn't change the default settings for menu transitions, etc. I get choppy menu transitions. The ambience still continues on while playing audio tracks - although when paused, they both actually pause rather than just quiet down and continue to play in the background, so that's a step forward. And in the configuration wizard (using the utility is actually more hassle than the wizard), there is still the 'settings for what your hardware is closest to'.

Hi Could you try 8.35 (just upped) and see if it fixes the slow down. It should also properly turn off the ambience when loading the jukebox.

In regards to turning off the not played list its in the advanced config under enable disable.

In regards to putting the stuff in the setup wizard. I dont want to add all setting to the setup wizard, the end of the day its supposed to be an easy uncofusing way to setup GameEx.
