i just cleaned out my theme folder of any unused images/logos and now when trying to select the jukebox within gameex itself, it closes gameex, and i'm hit with this message:

I don't know what the problem is, but I guarantee that Tom's first request is that you post the full log file...

i'll do that now. everything was working fine until i started cleaning out my theme folder. i basically got rid of logos/media i didn't think applied to my theme... i must have obviously been wrong. i'm gonna log onto my arcade pc now and get the full report. it must be one of the files i deleted though since it was working fine before.

i tried re-installing direct x and frame.net and still nothing.. here is my error dialog again and i'm hoping to get to the bottom of this since i'd love to be able to use the jukebox..

I have no clue about the error, but Tom will definitely prefer to have you working with the most up to date version to eliminate any chance the error has been fixed! You're using v8.13 and the current release is v8.34.

ok so i updated to the latest version, now upon selecting jukebox, it shows the jukebox screen for a moment, then crashes out with this error...

Looks to me like you've deleted some important files. Try downloading the theme your using again, or just restore all the deleted files from your Recycle Bin. It really is an insignificant amount of space it uses.

well it's a custom theme... would i be able to transfer all the media files (logos/background images) to another theme, then insert my theme.ini and have it the way it is? your probably right, i deleted a ton of files and emptied the bin already.

this error has been completely fixed, thanks to the help of Brian Hoffman.

what was happening is when i designed my theme, i change the string in my theme.ini to read:

Menu=240,427,161,144

this makes the "by manufacterer, by year, etc" box just big enough to house these options for mame, and my emulators... what i failed to realize was that the jukebox's menu box has about 3 extra options "by artist, album, etc" so basically it couldn't fit all the lines into the compact box i had edited. I resized the box and cleaned up the psd on the theme and everything is gravy on my end as of now. the sole reason of this is incase any theme editors run into the same issue, i thought for the longest time it was a file i deleted out of my theme.
