GameEx minimises

Hi,

New to GameEx! Have installed on my MCE HTPC but every time I launch GameEx inside or outside of MCE it shows the theme for a split second and then minimises to the taskbar.

I'm running a custom resolution 1216 x 684 off a Nividia GeForce 7600 GS onto a 37" Plasma.

Comments on solving this gratefully received.

Can you re-maximize it and use gameex normally after this happens? Check the properties of your shortcut, make sure you don't have any additional comments after gameex.exe ?

Do you have any hot-key software installed? Some of them will create profiles that auto-minimize any exe when launched.

Also, if you have another program that steals focus (anti-virus for example), GameEx will minimize.

i have exactly the same problem

i just put it down to a bug in that version but its the same with the new version,,

every time i launch gameex it minimises and still runs in the background, and no i cant maximise it as it

reminimises,

if i keep trying to maximise it over and over,

1 in 30 it will stay maximised,but ive had it minimise during gameplay as well,,

the only programs i have running on the machine is

avg and deamon tools

its been like this for about a fortnight now

im not sure if its a version problem (bug) or my machine

geforce 6500 pcie 256mb

p4 3,0ghz hp

1gb ram ddr1

I know Google Desktop is notorious for doing this...

Sorry about the delay in replying.

The problem seemed to be around the DiVX codec. When I uninstalled the DIVX codec the problem was sorted. Not an ideal scenario obviously but a solution nevertheless.
