Using ArcadeVGA card with GameEx

I recently hooked up my arcade vga card while running gameex. In the advanced configuration, I selected arcade vga so gameex would recognize the different resolutions for each game. However, when I run some vertical games within gameex the screen is very small. When I use Mame32 the same game is much bigger and is playable. Can anyone tell me what to do so I can play games in their native resolution and can use gameex. Thanks.

I don't bother with the GameEx ArcadeVGA options for my ArcadeVGA I use the AVRes tool takes a bit of configuring till your happy with the resolutions it picks for all the games but it works perfectly

Yeah, I don't know why it's there. I got messy results when I had it selected. They're set in Mame (or any other odd emulator that may use lower resolutions) and that's all that matters.
