i've got all my emulators working, except for gens. I have desktop set to yes, and i have gens CFG file set up to fullscreen -1 so it launches full screen when you run the emulator. However, when i try to launch a game from gameex, i just get a black screen for a second and then thrown back to the games list. I know its just a simple command i need to put somewhere..

I used to use gens but now I use kega fusion apparently it's more accurate than than any other megadrive emulator though it seem just the same as gens to me, it has got a some nice video options built in though, if you want to give it a try the command line for it is:-

Fusion.exe -gen -fullscreen "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"

it also does all your master system needs too wi8th this line

Fusion.exe -sms -fullscreen "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"

thanks, but where do i paste the line?

the easiest thing to do is just to import the Sega Genesis (Fusion) ini in the GameEx config and adjust your paths

so after i pasted that in the command line, it launches to a black screen with a FPS counter in the corner and thats all.

We talking about KEGA Fusion?

I can help with that!

GENS+? Not so much. ;)

For GENS just set show desktop to true and put gens.exe "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" in the command line. Of course make sure you have gens set up for fullscreen and resolution first. I've had no problems with it.

Is your KEGA INI file set up to launch in fullscreen? Try it with the desktop on and see if it works.

You can also try removing the system argument (-gen or -sms or -gg or what ever you use) and see if that helps.

yea fusion/kega is set to 1 for fullscreen in the config file, and desktop is on. i am still just getting a solid black screen when launching a rom from gameex.

not sure where i do the system argument setting you mentioned.

The system argument is part of the command line
