HideOS doesn't seem to be working in 7.99?

I downloaded version 7.99 a few days ago. It had been awhile since I had updated.

I noticed that HideOS doesn't seem to be working? I see the taskbar and icons when loading games.

And yes, I have the option selected to hide these things.

Anybody have any advice for me? In the older version I had set up it worked fine. Has anything changed recently regarding the hideos app?

It shows the background for a split second or for a few seconds? Either way, you may have to do something to hide the desktop icons and taskbar so that when it does pause it's not ugly.

It shows it for maybe a second or so. I noticed that for some console emulators it is still hiding the desktop but for whatever reason it doesn't work with mame?

I'm curious why it worked so cleanly on an older version and it doesn't on this newer version?
