Here Tis.

OK.

Can you confirm the error log below is when you start playing a dvd, or is happening all the time now?

Also confirm, did DVD's used to work for you. ie is this something new?

Here's possible errors I found in your config.

I noticed in the config, an MPEG 2 Video decoder is not specified for DVD's

In addion you have the use FFDSHOW setting turned on

And you have VMR 9 turned off.

Look at those and post back.

Thanks.

Well I only got that error once. Everything else in Gamex works great....but most of the time when I try to play DVD's the screen goes black for a second... then bumps back to the multimedia menu. It appears that the system is not even accessing the DVD drive. It's a bit annoying becauuse the DVD function is most important to me. (best zoom function I have come across. =).

I used to be able to play DVD's fine. The problem occured when I got a virus and formatted. Thankfully, I was able to salvage my setup (for roms ect) .... After format, I copied the Gameex folder to c:\program files....then to be safe I reinstalled over the top, as I new it would keep my config. Worked fine for roms ect..exepct now DVD's wont play.

I checked the gameex.ini for DVD....and found DVDpath=G:, but I dont even have a G:.....I changed that to E:, my DVD rom but with no luck. I tried FFDSHOW, VMR, and CODEC using setup wizrd and advanced setup.....and I think VMR and FFD are now on but the vlaue for Codec = 0 ....should this = the name of the decoder?

Use the advanced config app to setup. FFDSHOW should be off, and experiment with VMR.

Maybe you did not install GameEx properly. it needs to be installed for DVD to work. If this is not the case Videos wont work either. Do videos work?
