Cant find any games

I have installet the latest Mame32 and GameEX.

I have 2 roms i can see in Mame32, but i cant see them in GameEx.

I see the menu fine, but it says no games.

I have removed the rom validation.

Any ideas ?

Yeah, I have the same problem, read through all the documentation and configuration settings, then each time choose 'Update List' but never seems to pick up any of my MAME roms.

I can't think of any functional reason as to why it wouldn't pick up your ROMS, so I'm assuming there is an invalid path in there somewhere. Go into the configure utility and go through each section and verify that all the paths are correct to your roms and to MAME itself. Also, I would recommend using the normal command-line MAME and/or AdvanceMame. GameEx handles all the frontend stuff, so MAME32 is kinda useless. Make sure that if you do use AdvanceMame, remember to change the ROM path in GameEx's command for it. Like this:

UseAdvanceMAME=True

AdvanceMAMEExe=advmame.exe

AdvanceMAMEPAth=C:\Games\AdvanceMame

AdvanceMameOptions=-device_video_output fullscreen -quiet -dir_rom C:\games\roms\mame

(This is an excerpt from gameex.ini)

If that doesn't work, maybe try changing some of the filtering options just to see if games pop up.

Maybe: OnlyWorking=False, AllowImperfect=True,GameFilteron=False etc.

I dunno. I think its probably just a simple -but overlooked- path issue.

Another thing:

The roms will only show up if the applicalbe BIOS files are there. Mame32 will still show them with missing BIOS files.

Just found out the mame version is old and cant make the logfile. Checking now with the version 0.98 of mame32.

It is taking forever to update the mamelist now. Must mean something :-)

Also my listinfo.dat is empty. Sounds like the mame32 cant find the roms. But when i start mame32 alone, I can see the roms.
