I have a 2 screen setup, and all was working perfect before the Nvidia driver situation. As I start Pinballx 7.15, all videos (backglass and table) work. When I scroll to the 3rd table, I lose backglass video and stays black screen. As I get to around 20 to 30 tables in, I lose table videos as well. It has improved with each new version, but still not perfect for me.

Hi Tom. I tried every version that was released since the Nvidia issue. The last one I upgraded from was 7.14. Now I completely uninstalled Pinballx and installed 7.16 from scratch. I moved over my videos, wheels, and database. Now when Pinballx starts, the 1st table backglass and table video works, but scrolling to the second table, I lose backglass video. Again I lose table videos around 20 to 30 tables in. Also, when I start a table, there is a delay untill I see the loading video and then the table starts. When I exit the table to go back to the list, I get black screen and Pinballx is not responding. have to go into taskmanager to quit Pinballx and I lose my start menu bar and mouse pointer. If you need me to record my issues from my phone and post it on my Mega account to show you what I mean, will gladly do so. Looking forward to Pinballx working like it used too.

Back again to report using 7.19 is the same as my last post. My videos are recorded with OBS studio, backglass videos 2K and playfield videos in 4K at 30 fps, in MP4 format. What I did was to install Pinballx 6.98 with Nvidia driver 581.29 and LAV filters. Pinballx works perfectly!! All videos no problem. Nvidia driver I was using for 7.19 was the latest version 596.21. Since I game on this PC, I have to install 596.21 again and break Pinballx.

its definitely the new media foundation code but i don't have an idea right now, sorry.. i can reimplement the sample grabber for you again so you can keep current with versions at least.

Please give 7.20 a try and specify to use the sample grabber if required.

You may need to convert and downscale the videos if it is slow with the sample grabber.

I appreciate all the work you do. Hopefully in the future you'll figure it out. In PinballX Database Manager, all videos work when previewing them. What is the manager program using to play videos? Will try the newer version 7.20 with Nvidia 596.21 and report back later. Thanks.

DBM is completely different as the front end. We 'just' use WMP, but it's not comparable with PBX.

OK, using Nvidia driver 596.36 and Pinballx 7.20 and sample grabber all videos play great again. One issue I'm having now is when starting a table, Pinballx automatically crashes. Visual Pinball still will load the table.

YOU DID IT!! 7.21 works great using sample grabber. When saying no to use media foundation, no videos work. When saying yes, only the 1st two backglass videos work and again 20 to 30 in I lose table videos. Thank You very much Tom! I'd rather use Pinballx for a frontend than any other. Will be playing tonight.
