GameEx 19.78 Arcade Edition - Several MAME Games Don't Appear in "All Games" Menu

GameEx 19.78 Arcade Edition - Several MAME Games Don't Appear in "All Games" Menu.  One example I've seen in Zaxxon and I can't remember some others.  When I refresh the MAME list it appears but when I switch to the All Games menu they aren't there.  Not sure if it has something to do with filters, but I can't seem to figure out what's causing it.  The games work. Edit 3:  The zipped ini is from the config arcade edition file.  Also, I'm running MAME 287.

Has this always been this way or just now happening with v17.98? I see that you have zaxxon listed in Do Not Filter - is this the only zaxxon ROM?

Thanks for helping.  This week I upgraded from the old separate AE to the newer integrated one (I know, I'm late to the game) but copied the old ini first and brought it over per instructions.  Some things needed to be adjusted, as expected, but I don't remember this being a problem before.  I may have been though, it's been a while since I've used my arcade.  I've tried several newer and older roms from various websites, along with clones/bootlegs, and along with a sound sample that used to be required with older roms, but the best luck I've had is with this way - which is the latest rom, no clones or bootlegs, no sound sample, zaxxon in filter.  And every time I made a change I'd update the MAME in AE and check results. I would also try removing it or adding it to the filter with each trial. It at least shows in the MAME menu now, just not the All Games menu.  But my All Games menu is my go-to. I hope that helps.  Any other ideas?

Looks like you updated MAME too so im not entirely copnvinced its wholly down to the latest version of GameEx?

Thanks for the response, Tom.  What's odd to me is that everything is current (AE, MAME, and ROM) and the game is shown to be in working status in MAME, opens natively in MAME, is picked up in the AE MAME menu after updating the list, but doesn't show in the All Games menu.

Thanks.  Is that something easy for you to check?  Like, you already have current MAME and ROMs and can briefly see if it shows up differently for your menus vs mine?  To narrow it to my machine? When I get more time I could probably do some kind of grid with changes to eliminate everything and write the results of each (old roms vs new, filters, old sound sample, etc) but it might be a while before I can get to that.  Thanks again.

i just did a quick test with the latest of everything. i do see Zaxxon. What where the other games missing?

Are you saying they appear under all mame games but not elsewhere?

Well that's good to know.  On my end, Zaxxon shows immediately when I "Update List" (MAME) and it shows in "All MAME Games" if I activate that menu (which I normally don't, but tried it to test it with this), but it doesn't show in "All Games" which is my go-to menu.  If I remove the zipped ROM and I "Update List" it goes away from all, and if I replace the ROM and repeat that process it does the same thing as before - doesn't show in All Games.  I'll try to capture a video this weekend of it and will try to find other games that are acting the same.  Thx

My understanding is All MAME Games shows Zaxxon in the list, All Games it does not show. Is it possible that it is ignoring the Do Not Filter ROMS option?

oh i see, your talking about 'emulator' all games. i will have a further look.

edit: that is working for me too but i did not setup lots of emulators.

For what I noticed, after I updated Mame. Punch out and Super Punch Out aren't there.

Could it be you have no multi screen games set to no?

Not there in the All Games list as noted in the OP, or not showing period? 

Please ensure that you are running the latest version of GameEx (17.86) and attach copies of your GameEx.ini and log.txt files for review if still an issue after upgrading.
