I have just started building my second PC for my Arcade-box. I decided to start from scratch.

Windows 11 25H2, nVidia GeForce RTX 2070 – Studiodriver 595.79, GameEx 19.64, MAME 0.286 x64, LAVFilters-0.80.

All snap and avisnap files downloaded automatically to desired folders.

When I start up the GameEx Arcade Edition everything works fine, except for one thing. When scrolling the weel of games I see a black square, and hear the sound of the avisnap, no video. If I leave the GameEx untouched, it goes into pause mode. Here the videos are shown correct on a full screen, both sound and video.

Any surgestions?

Hi there - two things to remember when reporting an issue:

First, make sure you are posting in the General subforum. I found this post in the FAQ subforum.

Second, attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files to your thread (no copy & paste of their content, please!). These are often needed to help us help you quickly!

This may have been addressed, but I need the files to confirm your current settings first.

Thanks!

Thank for the reply. Sorry about the wrong forum. Files attached. Hope they are the right ones. I have only setup the Arcade Edition. Therefore the GameEx.ini is from d:\GameEx\CONFIG_ARCADE_EDITION\.

Not a problem! That is the correct location and files!

Try enabling Sample Grabber setting under Display Settings within the Setup Wizard.

Or edit GameEx in Notepad & change UseSampleGrabber=False to  UseSampleGrabber=True

Save and exit, then restart GameEx. Let us know if that fixes the issue. Thanks!

See and behold - it works!!! Thanks a lot 👍

I had seen the setting earlier, but must admit that I had not given it a second thought. I should have 🤔

And now onwards with more test before shiftting PC to the new one.
