DIFERENT VERSION OF MAME FOR A CERTAIN GAME

isnt there a way i can set up so when i launch a certain game have it  use a older version of mame? i like to keep up on mame updates but since version 0.247 area 51 r3000 and maximum force are very choppy now 0.246 they are perfect. mame testers have confirmed it but who know when they will if ever fix it. so is it possible  so just those 2 open with 0.246 and everything else use whatever latest version.

Yes, it should be right there under mame settings.

 i must be blind or just dumb. i looked under mame setting in game ex and i dont see anywhere to set those games to open with a different version of mame.

i think its just something different than you were specifically asking but you can specify an "alternate" mame exe and path. This shows up on the game info page (after selecting a game in the list)
