As a media frontend I'm sure it would run fine.

As a Emu frontend more than likely not for any of the emu's that required fairly beefy spec systems.

So for media I'm sure it would be fantasic, but emulation...I have strong doubts.

Cool setup tho. :)

*Update*

Scratch that...from what little research I've done on the processos that board use's....run from it like the plauge. By NO MEANS should this be purchused! Get some thing else...any thing would be better...CPU wise.

I don't care how good of a deal you can get on it...its thieft. ;)

If you already own it then give it a try...but if you don't own it...then don't own it in the future. :)

Really if you can find some thing you like that runs the newer Intel CPU's or the past few AMD CPU's I would suggest going that way...but really leaning towards the new Intel chips...even tho I do own AMD...which I'm happy with...but Intel is top dog right now.

You will probably be disappointed in anything that runs the VIA processors. Support is spotty and they are SLOW. You would probably be happier with a SFF machine.

Do you think that GameEx would run well under a mini itx board? preferrable this one.

VIA EPIA-MII10000

I want to use the onboard sound and video.

i got a cheap pc a uATX board 512mb ddr 2800+ semptron 64bit AM2 cost just over £100 and it runs gameex with no problems

the case was most expencive bit of it if it going in a cab you possibly dont need a case

How about new PC games and demanding emulators like Chankast and such? Do they all run smoothly?

the PC games would suck with 512 RAM, but the emulators would be fine. I actually have a sempron 3000+ (socket 939) thats brand new, 512meg DDR400, a 500 watt Ultra PSU, and a 200 gig harddrive I'm selling if you are building. You'd need an el cheapo case, motherboard, and CPU fan. The sempron 3000+ is actually identical to the Athlon 64s just with halved cache. It ran my cabinet beautifully until I got a free upgrade (long story). The best part about the newer semprons is they run REALLY cool so they are nearly silent for cabinets. PM me if you are interested.
