Hi ,

Once in a while I have a text problem that happends on every menu ,main and sub screen .

main.jpg

The only thing that clears it up is a reinstall of GameEx, and has happend about 4 times now and only on this ver of GameEx ?

I am using a arcadeVga card and I think it may be a confict with gameex and that as it dont happen anywere else and every game runs fine ?

I have checked though my log and dont see any thing wrong there either .

Many Thanks .

Im not entirely convinced its related to this version of GameEx. Can you try and give me a much better idea of exactly when this problem kicks in. ie return from certain emulator, background change etc?

Have you changed your avga drivers or made any other system changes? Have you added a new emu that you were not using before?

Sorry bit vage then, every thing is fine one night then from switch on the next day it will start from then , its never happends from a return from a game, the only new emulator is the atari jag which is disabled at the mo.

No new drivers have been installed , apart from .net 2.0 could it be that maybe ??

Thanks .

Do you mean when it does happen, it happens immediatly when GameEx launches? What res are you running gameex at, and what res do you have the desktop at, and how are you launching gameex.

Is the Desktop or GameEx running in 16 bit colour at all or switching to and from, that would deffinitly cause this issue. If you run GameEx in 32 bit colour (without this issue) exit and the only change you make is switth to 16 bit colour, it would do this, im sure. Ill fix the problem, but I think that sums it up :)

Yes it happens from the start of gameex booting, I use the quickres tool to give me a res of 640x480 it should be set at 32 colour but it may be (for some reason ?) set or messed up ,

Ta for your help :)

Hi,

Don't know if it's any help, but I had the blue box thingy problem before as well, but once I reverted back to the default font it cleared up.

Anyways, seeing as Tom is on the case, I'll butt out cos I'm only guessing anyway!
